Checking the resolution of your files is quick and easy! If you’re concerned about the resolution of your image, this information will provide you with the tools needed to check your print resolution very easily. This is important especially for larger prints.
* Please decide what size you would like your image to be printed. * Next, you will need to locate the file on your computer and pull up the image pixel dimensions (which will indicate how large of a print can be made).
* PC Users will right click on the digital file, then choose “Properties”, then navigate to the “Details” tab – at this point please note the Dimensions
* MAC Users will need to find the digital file, then click COMMAND+I to get Info, and then locate the Dimensions
* In the chart below, find the corresponding pixel dimensions needed for the print size preferred. If your image pixel dimensions are higher than needed – that’s okay! If lower than you may want to choose a smaller print size.
* Left hand column is the minimum pixels needed and right hand is optimum.
